I reckon not understanding rejection is one of those few flaws Chat/Adrien actually have so it’s great portential for character development there. I honestly think Adrien is trying to use kagami as a tool for getting over Ladybug. Mari on the other hand doesn’t want to use someone (in a good way) to get over Adrien but rather just stay alone. She developed a crush on Luka sure, but she didn’t try to approach him in a hope that he’d like her the way she wants Adrien to like her. But in a ‘I’ve got a crush on this guy but I have a bigger crush on another guy so I’ll leave this guy alone’ way.
Thomas said that Adrien was created to be the perfect character, but one can see even he has flaws. He knows Ladybug is in love with someone else, yet he still insists on a romance even if she feels nothing of the sort for him. Just when we thought Glaciator showed him he was ready to accept it, his desperation once again brings the worse in him. At the end of Glaciator, he still had hope. He said he would wait, but it's clear that he is getting tired of waiting. It's like he can't accept that Ladybug is in love with someone else. It's him of course, but neither of them know that, so that's besides the point.
Yeah, but hasn’t it been confirmed he doesn’t suspect anyone? There is evidence leading to him suspecting Mari (I’m assuming it’s her your talking about). Even if he does then he’d probably approach her more and well stop calling her a ‘friend’. Yeah, I’m happy we see at least one of Adrien’s flaws being focused on (kind of). It’s great to see a character like adrien (who rarely gets any hate or is rarely acknowledged due to his flaws) actually get acknowledged and seen from more of a humanly POV.
If he suspected, he would pay more attention to Marinette than he is now.
Yeah, he would probably approach her more and probably even ask Plagg. But he could suspect someone else that is not Mari for all we know.
After "Syren", I doubt Plagg would answer.
Yeah, he would at least try to find clues or something. But yeah, I din’t think he suspects anything yet. Otherwise we would’ve gotten something along those lines.
I don't think he suspects anyone yet, otherwise his attitude would be quite different.
Whenever Kagami gets akumatised in her love-struck period at least. she often talks about Adrien being the only one worthy of her - not the other way around.
So if one was to hypothetically was to try shipping Luka and Kagami at somepoint she's going to have to get past that snobbery perhaps. I'm watching carefully for hints though... but they don't talk to each other so it's not easy.
