This timeline holds a list of events pertaining to Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, both in the real world and within the series itself. For now, it is a list of documented news and events that follows Miraculous's development with updated news. Italicized information is information that is still considered true, while
striked information is information that is out of date or debunked, therefore no longer being true.
- April 04: Ladybug is first mentioned as a
3D feature filmwith a TV show in progress. Comics and other variations may also come!
- June 06: Zagtoon enrolls Japan's Toei Animation to co-produce "Miraculous".
- June 07: The series is announced to be 26 episodes.
- September 04: Ladybug PV is accidentally made public after being privately uploaded on August 26.
- Ladybug is now referred to as Lady Bug or Miraculous Ladybug.
- Method Animation is revealed to be responsible for the series' CGI elements.
Ladybug has a 3D full-length movie in the works while Toei is involved in only the 2D TV series project.
- September 12: A fan receives an e-mail back from Jeremy Zag claiming that an official LADYBUG website will be uploaded.
- May 20: Ladybug is set to air on Brazil's Gloob, Canada's Télé-Québec, and Australia's ABC Me. Disney Channel has also picked up exclusive pay-TV rights in Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Spain, Germany, Russia, and Turkey.

- February 09: Work-in-progress clip is uploaded on Jeremy Zag's Instagram.
- February 10: An extended version of the work-in-progress clip is uploaded on Zagtoon's Vimeo.
- February 12: Marinette's best friend's name is revealed to be Alya.
- February 13: Jeremy Zag uploaded a video on Instagram with the description "Stormy Weather" showcasing the mysterious villainess who controls the winds.
- March 11: The French cast is revealed though not named, revealing a name for another unknown character, Aurore.
- March 20: English dubbed version cast is revealed, along with a character name, Plagg.
- June 08: More news about Ladybug's licensing partners is announced. Also, the series is still confirmed to premiere worldwide in Fall 2015.
- June 11: Jeremy Zag revealed that at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, 300 licensees from across the globe joined with Ladybug. Afterwards, Zag announced that 540 licensees from around 120 countries are involved.
- June 15: An official trailer for the show is discovered, including a lot of new footage and an official series song.
- June 24: Jeremy Zag confirms that Ladybug is still planned to air in Fall 2015 and reveals the networks around the world that the show will air on, including Nickelodeon for the USA.
- July 02: Another video with the theme song, including old footage from the previous trailer and new footage, is released.
- July 04: News on the show comes out, including that there will be an app with webisodes, printable activities, and blog posts from Marinette about her daily life and secret life. Also, another character is briefly mentioned, Marinette's rival Chloé.
- July 6-12: At the Nickelodeon area at San Diego Comic Con 2015, as seen on Zagtoon's Facebook page, posters for the show and an official cosplayer of Ladybug were there. Also, the show in the US is now fully confirmed to be called Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, and Jeremy Zag commented on his Instagram that there will be an official announcement for the series in a few days.
- July 22: In Korea, there is a press conference for the series held by SAMG Animation. YouTube user Acrofan recorded clips from the conference, including some with new clips of the show and the Korean version of the theme song, performed by Fiestar.

- September 09: Comicbook.com announces that in the US, Miraculous will premiere on December 6 on Nickelodeon.
- September 21: On Wat TV, a French trailer and the French version of the opening are released.
- September 23: An document from TF1 for Miraculous is released. It includes character names and descriptions, interviews with production members, and more news on 10 webisodes coming out. An English translation of the document was made by Tumblr user misctreil and can been viewed here.
- September 29: Thomas Astruc reveals that Miraculous will premiere in TF1 in France on October 19.

- December 24: YouTube user The Kitsune Network interviewed Miraculous producer Jared Wolfson at the ZAG Inc. studio in Glendale, California. Jared Wolfson revealed information for the show, including merchandise coming out in the summer of 2016.
- January 4: Anmtv.com announces that in Brazil, Miraculous will premier on March 7 on Gloob.
- The show is confirmed to be called Miraculous: As Aventuras de Ladybug (translated as: Miraculous: The Ladybug Adventures)

- January 20: YouTube user Lindalee Rose interviewed members at the ZAG Inc. studio in the US about Miraculous in a video. Her interviewee, Andre Lake Mayer, revealed new things about the Miraculous franchise.

- May 17: There are two Miraculous meetups at the Zag Animation office in LA. The first meetup is a tour of the LA office and a Q&A panel hosted by Thomas Astruc, Jeremy Zag, Sébastien Thibaudeau, Jun Violet, Fred Lenoir, Mélanie Duval, Matthieu Choquet, Wilfried Pain, and Ezra Weisz. The second meetup later that day is a signing and tour of the LA office.
- A new relative to Nino, was also revealed, as well as the news that LGBTQ+ characters have been added to the series. Le Paon was confirmed to appear at the end of the second season. Swimming pool and rollerblading episodes were planned as well.
- June 3: Weisz confirmed in a YouTube comment that English dubbing has yet to start.
- June 4: Zag announced that Season 2 assume to be premiere in Fall 2017 in order to "synchronize a global launching and launch major countries at the same time."

- July 27: The French broadcast for Miraculous, TFOU, revealed that they will announce the exact air date of Season 2 at the TFOU Back-to-School press conference at the end of August.
- August 4: Previews of "The Collector" were shown at Seoul Comic-Con 2017.
- During the panel, it was revealed that the second season will be released in March 2018 in South Korea on EBS1.
- Jesús Barreda, the voice actor of Cat Noir in the Castilian Spanish dub, revealed that there will be an episode in which Chloé asks Adrien to help her so that other people like her better. He also revealed that Ladybug and Cat Noir will have an interesting interview on TV.
- August 8: Confirming that the English recording for Season 2 was underway, Weisz posted an Instagram video of Cristina Vee recording lines for "The Collector".
- August 11: Weisz revealed that they finished working on the first two episodes of Season 2.
- August 17: Astruc revealed an in-process image of the episode "Riposte" on Twitter, in which its episode name and production code were revealed. The picture featured Ladybug standing on a rooftop with Adrien in one arm, with the other hand holding onto her yo-yo string.
- August 18: Zag revealed a sneak peek image of "The Collector" on Instagram. Zag commented on it in his post, saying "Get ready for Season 2!"
