Hi Harte, I'd like to get your and the rest of the staff's opinion on something.
There's been a few off-topic posts in Discussions lately. People saying they're leaving, people putting up random game posts, people saying that it's their birthday, ect. The rules do say that personal posts are allowed, as long as they're rare, but there's so many users that even if each user only puts up a personal post once every two months, there'll be one every day.
Should I delete all the off-topic posts? And if so, can we edit the rules? "Rare" is quite vague.
I'm not sure if this has been addressed yet as it's been 12 days, but I believe we should change the rules to have personal posts be allowed only as blog posts rather than discussion posts. Hope this helped.
Since Tansy has stated that she'll be offline for a week or so, I'm bringing this up to you (even though she was the last one to handle the situation). Clyde or Alexiel, if either of you happen to see this before Harte does, your assistance will be equally appreciated, and the same goes for you Camie, though I believe this may require admin-level treatment.
The user Xaeonx7 has been active in this thread, becoming increasingly hostile towards other participants in the thread as well as against LGBT+ in general. After Tansy specifically ended the subtopic, Xaeonx7 willfully ignored her warning to continue harassing others. I am taking screenshots of the relevant thread responses and can send them to you, Camie, or another staff member over Discord if needed. At this point not only is he ignoring staff requests and harassing other users and therefore in need of official action, I am also of the opinion that he may need to be reported to FANDOM itself. I will, however, await further advice before proceeding myself.
I'm on mobile and really want to closely source a warning if I send one, so I'll do it first thing when I get back on PC unless someone else has dealt with this before then.
If any admin (incl Alex, now temp admin) thinks this needs escalated further feel free to do so, and let it be known I personally feel that this behaviour should not be tolerated at all and the only reason I don't feel a ban should be issued is the lack of a warning prior.
I'll issue a short hand warning right now and edit it asap, if they continue after the warning they likey should be banned.
I'm glad to have helped. Xaeonx7 (I just realized I have no actual idea whether they are a he or a she) is continuing to be belligerent and answered Camie's warning rudely, but I am going to try not to let myself get involved in that thread as my presence would probably simply escalate it. I hope the situation is resolved without too much more conflict.
Hi. I undid your edit to Clara Nightingale'a page, removing the unsourced info dictating that Laura Marano voices her in the English dub.
I know Jeremy Zag revealed that Laura herself will voice her own character but that was revealed two years ago. The same time when Laura Marano created her rendition of the music video of the show which was in 2016 which was quite a long time ago.
A lot of the news announced by Jeremy or anyone in the miraculous industry aren't false and majority of the times, it ends up being correct, but don't completely end up being the original concept which we we were promised. The initial idea of Vivica isn't scrapped but the idea of her being a vetenarian is left ambiguous and her her planned concept might be re-tooled into something else. My point is that new concepts and ideas aren't always accurate when they're first orignally announced and can be vacillated by the creators over time.
So back to Laura Marano. Clara being based off her is 100% confirmed but her being the voice actor isn't. Did Jeremy recently announce any news relating to Laura being Clara's voice actor or do your sources reflect on Jeremy's past statements which may be outated now? Did Ezra also confirm Laura as the voice actor over at his social media platforms such as Twitter or Instagram?
I don't blame any of the creators for this. Getting famous celebriries/artists to enter the recording booth is quite difficult, especially if whether the celebrities are union or non-union. Maybe Ezra could have tried his hardest to persuade Laura to guest star but do the rush of production and limited time to dub the episodes before considering it completed and send off to the broadcasters, he must have eventually decided to make do and compromise by using the current material he was able to use instead. Ezra indeed found a great substitution for Laura, and Im grateful that he did.
I'm not sure if whether you watched Frightningale or not but disappointingly, it doesn't sound as if Laura voices her unless she decided to alter her infections to match Clara's sweet tone, which she then.... did a pretty good job. But until Laura or Ezra confirms Laura as the voice actor, Im sadly inclined to disapprove with any suppostions of Marano voices her.
I'm sorry if my message disppointed you. I myself was quite upset to find out Laura wasn't voicing her own character, especially as I was looking forward to seeing her episode ever since she was incorporated to the show. But maybe in the future, Laura could possibly return. Who knows? Hooves crossed.
You only have 3 edits and therefore nobody has had time to judge who you are. Currently, it is exceedingly unlikely you will be given administrative rights of any kind. If you make many helpful edits over a long period of time you may be considered in future.
