Welcome to my wall, feel free to message me about anything, especially if you've got an issue. I'm also happy to help with code if you'd like. Although, I do live in the UK, so be aware I might be asleep. I do catch up with my notifications tons and I'm usually online.

  • Hi, I would just like you to know that the Style Queen Transcript has a double redirect. I don't know if this a problem or not, if it is I want you to know so it can be fixed.

      Loading editor
    • Wow, that's a mess of redirects, thanks for letting me know, I'll quickly try and fix those.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah it's generally an issue when there are double redirects, since they can usually just point directly to the page in question, which is both easier to manage and avoids leaving users looking at redirect pages, since that kind of defeats their purpose.

  • Hey, I just want you to know that some of the quotes of Chloe's kinda don't make any sense. So I hope you don't mind if I edit them so they make sense. Just letting you know.

    • The main thing "triggering" me right now is the way the main issue is being sidestepped with a patronizing "Let's not start a fight". All right; fine. Duly noted! Never mind the messenger; focus on the message! Now, back on the 17th, M53 put "laser" into a quote from Origins pt.1, which anyone can verify for themselves doesn't belong there. I reverted that item (as well as a few other such changes). I then offered this advice in this very thread: "You should also bear in mind that the quotes are supposed to adhere to what is actually spoken, and not to how you might think she ideally should have phrased her speech." So I covered the very point you suggest already. Then this past day she went and put "laser" back in that quote, as well as inserting an incorrect word in another. Having been given my advice, this action really doesn't leave room for "good faith" on her part anymore. Meanwhile, she's been pressing to be made an administrator. Why? She thinks she'll then be able to override people like me who won't let her mess things up? That's the only conclusion that can be drawn at this point.

      And I'm sorry, but if you think I'm "trying to provoke a reaction", you're not reading me at all!

    • In Alexei and Jeanne's defense, while you may not be meaning to sound aggressive, your presentation does, with multiple uses of bolds, italics, quotation marks, and exclamation points. You may mean to be calm and serious, but your use of these and your writing gives the vibe you're upset at all of us. I have nothing wrong with you pointing out if a user isn't following rules and good editing, but be wary of your presentation so it sounds like you're having a conversation and not like you're getting heated. Thank you.

      Miraculous 53, Cat Noir's Pawse is correct in that you can't add in extra words to quotes. Make sure you're listening to the episodes and copying lines exactly. The only reason any quote would be modified is if an object or subject is confusing without reference using brackets [ and ], but otherwise, adding any words that weren't in the original makes the quote false. I don't know your reasoning for this, and I'll consider it with good intentions for this time, but don't do it again, or else I will have to consider it as intentionally breaking the rules and give you an official warning.

    • I should point out, I've let the staff who are able to actually delete those comments know that it needs to be edited (and they'll see this), but they're not online currently, so it should be done as soon as a discussions mod or admin comes online.

      So you can only edit but not delete comments? Good to know. Thank you for your time.

      By the way: I'd like to help clean this wikia as I have the time.

    • I can edit and delete comments on articles or user blogs, but not on board threads.

      Not entirely certain as to why.

  • I have found another case of nsfw comments in the (now closed) discussion "what happened in the cage in animan". Friend6095 unnecessarily turned an innocent scene from the episode into a innuendo-laden "what if" fanfiction. Now, while I know that there won't be any responses to the thread any longer, children can still see the comments. Is there a way to remove them, please?

    I wonder why no-one seemed to notice. Sexual innuendos are at no costs allowed in here!

    • Nah they're fine, they're minor innuendos, they only make sense if you know what they're talking about ahead of time.

  • Hi!

    I just wanted to ask, how do you hide a spoiler? I'm sorry. I feel so stupid writing this, but I thought I'd ask. It can't hurt to know, can it?

      Loading editor
    • Hey, don't worry about it, tons of people have asked before, I'm happy to help.

      If you have text you want to be hidden as a spoiler, you'll want to enclose it within this:

      {{HideSpoiler|(text)}}

      Which will make anything you type after the "|" but before the "}}" invisible by default.

      And remember that when you're creating a spoiler, you'll need a button to toggle it, which is made using this:

      {{SpoilerButton}}

      So for example, if you wanted to create this:

      Adrien is Cat Noir

      You'd use this code:

      {{SpoilerButton}}
      {{HideSpoiler|Adrien is Cat Noir}}

      You can also create togglable spoilers using this:
      {{HideSpoiler2|*originalText*|*spoilerText*}}

      Which would give this effect:

      *spoilerText*

      Note that it's "HideSpoiler" and "SpoilerButton", without any spaces.

      I hope this helps, and if you've got any more questions, feel free to ask me, I'm always happy to help as best as I can.
