This article is about a Miraculous.
This article is about the Horse Miraculous. You may be looking for another Horse, Miraculous or episode named after its concept.

Max Kanté, here's the Miraculous of the Horse, which grants the power of Teleportation. You will use it for the greater good. Once the job is done, you will return the Miraculous to me. Can I trust you?

Ladybug to Max, "Startrain"

The Horse Miraculous is a pair of glasses that, whenever Kaalki inhabits it, transforms the wearer into a horse-themed superhero or villain with the power of Migration.

To activate the glasses, the user must speak the transformation phrase: "Full Gallop". To deactivate the glasses, the user must speak the detransformation phrase: "Dismount".

The glasses are currently owned by Max Kanté, who uses them to transform into Pegasus. It was previously stored in the Chinese Miracle Box and only lent out to him when the situation required it. In "Strikeback", it was stolen by Félix Fathom, who traded it to Gabriel Agreste in exchange for the Peacock Miraculous.

In "Destruction", Gabriel used a laser machine to melt down the Miraculous into a pile of dust, and then reforged it into a special Alliance ring for transferring Kaalki's power of Migration to any Akumatized villain who wore a regular Alliance ring.

In "Re-creation", after Marinette Dupain-Cheng manages to recover all of the Miraculous that were previously stolen, she restores the Horse Miraculous back to its original form and she gives it back to Max permanently.

Appearance

In general, the Horse Miraculous are pair of dark, pince nez type glasses. In charged mode, they have gradient lenses, and five cyan light points near the right frame of the Miraculous. If a minor is using the Miraculous, the glasses start running out of power, they make a beeping sound, and the light points start disappearing one at a time as an indication of how much time (one light is equivalent to one minute) Max (or another Horse Miraculous holder) has left.

In its activated mode, the five lights disappear and has no gradient lenses, making the glasses completely black.

In its camouflage mode, the glasses change color and form depending on whose possession it's in:

  • In the possession of Max Kanté, the lens of the glasses are clear with black frames.[1]
  • When it was worn by Gabriel Agreste, the lens of the glasses were clear with silver frames.[2]
  • When it was worn by Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the lenses were circular and had silvery-gold frames along with temples.[3]
  • In its reforged ring form, it was a thick band with a circular surface, similar to the Cat Miraculous, inside of it was the symbol of the Horse Miraculous which glowed brown. It used to sit on the index finger of Gabriel's right hand.

Abilities

Its special superpower, is named Voyage, which gives the user the ability to allows the user to open portals that they can travel and exit through at any location they desire in order to obtain their goal, like defeating a villain. As long as the superpower isn't used by a minor, the wielder can remain transformed indefinitely. Trivia

  • Horses symbolize confidence, endurance, and triumph.
  • Despite the fact that the Horse Miraculous "concept" was claimed claimed to be Teleportation in Startrain, some official materials stated that the concept is actually Migration, such as the Kwamis book as well as the official Miraculous Ladybug website as of September 2020.[4]
    • This was later confirmed in Migration, where it was said that the concept of the Horse Miraculous is Migration.
  • The Horse Miraculous is stored in a drawer in the Miracle Box below the Goat Miraculous' drawer.
  • Their form of sunglasses may be a reference to the fact that some of the earliest recorded instances of sunglasses originate from China, where the lenses were made from polished smoky quartz.
    • Incidentally, China is the world's largest producer of sunglasses in present day.
    • The glasses form of the Miraculous could even be a possible reference pun to Dr. Dolittle, since the titled character in the 1967 film gives an old short sighted, working horse a pair of glasses to help him see better.
      • Similarly to how the Rabbit Miraculous' pocket watch form and blue-white color scheme references the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and Disney's animated film version of the story.
      • As well as the Men in Black movies, where the Agents wear black sunglasses and uses the Neuralyzer, which erases memories and is normally used for alien cover-ups.
  • In "Mega Leech", the Horse Miraculous has a different design when Ladybug entrusts it to Max.
  • In "Optigami", Kaalki mentions she was the companion of several glorious heroes, suggesting the Horse Miraculous was used by a number of famous heroes before Max. The specific heroes are so far unknown.
  • In "Sentibubbler", Marinette unifies the Horse Miraculous with the Ladybug Miraculous and temporarily becomes Pegabug.
  • In "Strikeback", Marinette unifies the Horse Miraculous with the Ladybug and Rabbit Miraculous and temporarily becomes Pennybug.
  • In “Destruction” and “Miraculous Paris”, Gabriel unifies the Butterfly Miraculous with the Horse Miraculous and temporarily becomes Monarch
  • From “Jubilation” to “Collusion”, Gabriel as Monarch used its power of Voyage to teleport his megakumas to his akumatized victims faster.
  • It is implied that the Miraculous when worn gives the user normal eyesight
  • In "Startrain" and "", the Miraculous is shown to be foldable.
    • This is similar to how the Monkey Miraculous is foldable.
