The Dragon Miraculous is a beaded choker that, whenever Longg inhabits it, transforms the wearer into a dragon-themed superhero with the power of Perfection.[1]
To activate the choker, the user must speak the transformation phrase: "Bring the Storm". To deactivate the choker, the user must speak the detransformation phrase: "Open Sky".
The choker is currently owned by Kagami Tsurugi, who uses it to transform into Ryuko. It was previously stored in the Chinese Miracle Box and only lent out to her when the situation required it. In "Strikeback", it was stolen by Félix Fathom, who traded it to Gabriel Agreste in exchange for the Peacock Miraculous.
In "Destruction", Gabriel used a laser machine to melt down the Miraculous into a pile of dust, and then reforgesd it into a special Alliance ring for transferring Longg's power of Perfection to any Akumatized villain who wore a regular Alliance ring.
In "Re-creation", after Marinette Dupain-Cheng manages to recover all of the Miraculous that were previously stolen, she restores the Dragon Miraculous back to its original form and she gives it back to Kagami permanently.
Appearance
In general, the Dragon Miraculous is a choker with a crystal bead. In charged mode, when Longg inhabits it, is a black choker that has a sangria black bead-like pendant with a red center and five red vertical lines on the front on it. If a minor is using the miraculous, the choker starts running out of power, they make a beeping sound, and the vertical lines start disappearing (one part is equivalent to one minute) Kagami (or another Dragon Miraculous holder) has left.
In its activated mode, the bead is black without lines.
In its camouflage mode, the choker changes color and form depending on whose possession it's in:
- In the possession of Kagami Tsurugi, the bead is red.[2]
- When it was worn by Gabriel Agreste, the bead was silver.
- When it was worn by Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the bead was bubblegum pink.[3]
- In it's reforged ring form, it was a thick band with a circle surface, similar to the Cat Miraculous, inside of it was the symbol of the Dragon Miraculous which glowed scarlet. It used to sit on the index finger of Gabriel's left hand.
Abilities
The Dragon Miraculous has the ability to transform its wielder into a dragon-themed superhero, granting its wielder incredible superhuman powers of strength, speed, agility, endurance, and stamina. It also makes the user nearly invulnerable.
Its special weapon is an unbreakable red sword with a black leather handle. It has a circle that separates the blade from the handle. In it are three teardrop shapes colored light gray, blue, and yellow. There are two gold spikes protruding from the circle heading upwards. This can also be utilized as both a weapon, a communicator, and an object that can be used to breathe underwater. Its special superpower, the Dragon Miraculous Superpower gives the user the ability to transform into one of three elements: water, wind, or lightning in order to obtain their goal, like defeating a villain. As long as the superpower isn't used by a minor, the wielder can remain transformed indefinitely. However, as soon as once all three elemental transformations are used, the wielder loses power, and the transformation wears off in about approximately five minutes. The beaded choker also has the ability to give the wielder the costume they truly desire.

- The Dragon Miraculous' powers are based on the elements that are usually present in a storm (water, wind and lightning).
- Unlike the other Miraculouses, whose use of one's power leads to the holder starting to lose power causing their detransformation, the Dragon Miraculous, because it has three different powers, will only start losing energy once all three powers are used.
- The Dragon Miraculous is one of the few Miraculous whose transformations and detransformation phrases do not directly relate to the animal it is based on; instead, they are based on its elemental/weather powers and the association of Eastern dragons with the weather.
- During the special "The Battle of the Miraculous", the Dragon Miraculous, because it was in Marinette's possession, was one of the few Miraculous of the Miracle Box, along with the Ladybug, Cat, Turtle, Butterfly, and Peacock Miraculouses, to not fall into Hawk Moth's possession (the latter two have already been in his possession).
- Despite the fact that the Turtle Miraculous also didn't fall into Hawk Moth's possession, its holder was captured by the villain, causing him to possess it indirectly.
- In "Miracle Queen", Marinette, as Ladybug, unifies the Dragon Miraculous with the Ladybug Miraculous and temporarily becomes Dragon Bug.
- Marinette is the third person of Chinese origins, the fourth person of Asian origins and the first person of French origins to wield the Dragon Miraculous.
- Kagami is the first miraculous holder to use her miraculous as a hero and villain Ryukomori in the episode "Perfection", gaining power through the Alliance ring.
